I was worried this book was going to be another overwhelming essay on the harsh ideological divide in today's America, but it wasn't! It's starts with a little about present day politics and quickly moves on to many wonderful chapters that's are made up of Tucker's favorite articles he'd written throughout his career. It's has everything from potato gun manufacturers to politics of the 90's and 00's. You can hear Tucker's passion for journalism in every sentence. Great book! Very fun listen!

I'm a huge fan of O&A and also of Ant's solo venture. So yes I'm bias... As a fan I could not have asked for a more in-depth/wonderful biography than this. I believe that if you are not a fan, or someone who's never heard of him you'll still like it a lot. Give it a listen! I promise it's worth it .

This book brought me to tears multiple times. I cried nostalgic tears, prideful tears, sorrowful tears, and good ole happy tears. I was raised ranching and working several large ranches in this exact area. I also worked at Producers Livestock Auction (San Angelo,Tx) which my father managed along with the ranches. i was born in 1987 and I can only list about 5 truly wet years out of my 34 years on earth. There were many drought years, and years that provided par to subpar rainfall. I lived through a bad 4 year drought that had record hot summers both in temperature and length in the late 00’s. I feel anyone who grew up ranching will relate to Mr. Kelton’s book in many ways. Especially those who’ve grown up ranches in the American Southwest or Northwest Mexico. Mr. Kelton described the lives lived so simply and beautifully that anyone from any background will enjoy this book.

This autobiography is wonderful! I was raised on and still work on several different ranches in West Texas, Central Texas Hill Country, and the South Texas Brush Country. Growing up in these areas afforded me knowledge of Native American artifacts, and a self taught education of the tribes who lived in these areas. I was inthralled with the story of this mans time spent with the Indians. I loved that he was able to pinpoint the areas and ecoregions of Texas they passed through during his time described. This book will keep you much more than just interested. After learning of his life I’d like to map out his journey with the different tribes. I want to plan a road trip vacation driving through each of these areas. This audiobook is 100% worthy of a listen!!
