This book is not worth buying. I didn't find anything here that wasn't just "fluff". Lots of stuff that sounds good, but nothing really actionable or life-changing.

This book is great! I’m not big into politics and the only reason I started reading this book was because I’ve loved the other books by Charles Wheelan.

I love that the main premise behind these ideas is compromise - taking the best of each party and throwing out the stuff on the extremes. It’s cutting out the rhetoric and thinking about policies logically and sensibly.

Without pictures, this audiobook is hard to grasp just by itself. I recommend taking some time to understand the overall details of what happened each day of the battle. This book will fill in all the rest!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes!

I felt like I didn't need to have a Ph.D in Philosophy to understand the content. Honestly, you don't even really need to have a college education! It's that easy to listen to. He uses so many pop culture references (mainly sci-fi like Star Trek and Dr. Who) that make it easy to relate these hard and abstract concepts to something more familiar. In the end I felt like I have a MUCH better understanding of some main topics of philosophy.

I agree with others that he spends way too much time discussing God, but it wasn't horrible.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The lectures are structured so well! Each lecture ties perfectly with the next.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really loved the lectures regarding knowledge and the thought experiments that go along with it.
