Story
A Different Mirror for Young People brings ethnic history alive through the words of people, including teenagers, who recorded their experiences in letters, diaries, and poems. Like Howard Zinn's A People's History, Takaki's A Different Mirror offers a rich and rewarding "people's view" perspective on the American story.

the story was well told with tons of great examples and analysis to accompany it. I forgot about the book for a few months and then came back to it, but did not feel like I had to rewind or go back excessively due to the storytelling style. chapters can be listened to in pieces and you'll learn a lot in each 20ish minute segment.
