Kept me engaged. The action and adventure reminded me of classic dungeons & dragons, especially in the way magic is described and handled. Only critique, too much sexual content for my liking.

1984 Audiobook By George Orwell cover art

Goes without saying, 1984 is a superb piece of literature that will leave you thinking. This is the third time I've engaged Orwell's dystopian classic of totalitarianism and continue to find myself drawn in to the struggle with the idea of man's free will, thoughts and desires, and oppression. This audio performance is fantastic and captures the mood of the book. Highly recommend.

Good Companion Kick starter to Malazan saga

Pretty good initial "companion" story to the world of Malazan not yet explored. I like the idea of Esslemont and Erikson going at this endeavor together; truly makes for epic story telling. Esslemont doesn't disappoint as this is fast paced action and intrigue in a very digestible format (I sometime get worn ragged trying to plow through 700+page books). Not here, well done.

Great narration and story. Truly enjoy Modesitt's grappling with philosophical ideas such as the nature of good and evil and the problem of evil/pain and suffering. The characters grapple with these important questions; the author presents it in such a way that is not superficial or heavy handed. I look forward to reading more in the Imager series.

Really food dialogue throughout touching on those key elements Dostoevsky always includes in his works, primarily morals/ethics, religion. Additionally, memorable characters and rich characterization. At times tough to get through but well worth it.

Sanderson does it again. A highly detailed, complex character driven story that is hard to put down. Eagerly anticipating book three in the trilogy.

Excellent survey of the Old Testament (part I) with detailed analysis of each OT book juxtaposed with the New Testament account of Jesus the Christ (part II). Overall, Mr. Limbaugh does a fantastic job explaining the OT pointing toward Christ and the NT pointing back; and scripture's over arching/complimentary story of God's redemptive plan. A great resource for individual or group study. Highly recommended.

One of Fydor's greatest; heavily themed nature of good vs evil, morality, and the struggle within. A fantastic reading that kept me engaged throughout this long novel. Well done!
