Holy Christmas! This book. I didn't know what to expect but hot damn this book was intense.

I haven't read a thriller in a long time, but wow. The mastery of the written word by Hoover is astounding. I was on the edge of my seat with my hand to my chest, while worrying my lip and creeped out through basically the entire book.
If the opening paragraph doesn't prove that then I'm not sure what will.

The voice actors we phenomenal. They pulled me in and spit me right back out in a state of shock.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good thriller.

I'm not sure why it took me so long to delve into this book. between trying to decide whether I wanted to read or listen, plus hearing mixed reviews, I can admit I was hesitant. now I feel like a fool for waiting so long.

Like Maas' other books you are thrown onto a Rollercoaster of an adventure and emotion. I feel drained and energized at the same time. There is so much relatable emotion of sadness, grief, guilt, and worthlessness that make this story dark. But the light in this story is what is truly important. The love, selflessness, hope, and determination are inspiring.

once again I have been put into a book hangover and between Maas' words and Evans' mastery, well allI can say is thanknyou and I can't wait for the next one.

Thank you Eric for writing such an intriguing and adventurous story that hooked us right from the beginning. I found myself curing you and praising you throughout multiple points of this trilogy. That right there is the sign of an amazing writer.

The only thing that could make this story better is choosing the most fantastic narrator I think I have ever had the privilege of listening to. Saskia Maarleveld took a 5 star story and made it a 10. My 12 yr old son and I would anxiously wait until the next time we were in the car to listen. He would put down his phone and be completely engaged and entranced by this story and I can't thank you enough.

We laughed, we definitely cried, and we cheered along on the edge of our seats through the entire story. If you've read the story or not I absolutely recommend listening to it. The way it was brought to life was something I can't fully describe. I think we sat for a good 10 minutes after it was over trying to figure out what to do next because we invested so much in this story. We both are hoping quite fervently that this story continues so we can go on another adventure with these characters that feel like family.

This Audiobook is by far my favorite! Joy Nash is fantastic! Her ability to enhance the emotion of the scene is amazing and Chris Brinkley does a great job with the subtle changes for each character.

A beautiful culmination of a fantastic story.

JR Ward's words always have an ability to bring me to another place where I feel like I am right with her characters as a welcome specter. This series was as no different. I could smell the fresh cut grass, weep when it felt right, become enraged because of so many transgression, and cheer when even the smallest of triumphs happen. There are many times when I finish a series I am left with a feeling that something was forgotten, but not with this one. I feel a sense of peace that I wasnt sure I would feel when I started.

If I can say nothing more about Alexander Cendese then this next little bit then I will do my best to put into words what I am thinking. From the very first word, in the first book of this series I wa as caught in his snare. His ability to bring each and every character to life is a gift. Each with their own voice demanding to be listened to, and I wanted to listen. The slight nuances and timbres, and flows were something to behold.

So again I say, fantastic. Thank you to JR Ward, for putting the ink to paper and falling in love with Kentucky, and Thank you to Alexander Cendese for being so damn good at bringing these written words to life.

I wasn't sure what to expect since this is my first audio book by the lovely Ms. St. Aubin. It took me a few minutes to get used to the book being narrated by one person since I'm used to having a male and female narrator. Once I got past that hurdle I listened more intently and really enjoyed what I heard.

I loved reading this story, it has everything you could want, action, adventure, blackmail, humor, talking mystical creatures, some extremely sexy scenes and a "bake sale". I mean who doesn't love all of that, and listening to Ms. Hollie Jackson tell the story made it all the better.

Ms. Jackson's voice was very easy to listen to. It brought to life all of the characters, both male and female beautifully. The slight nuances each character had made me feel like I was there peeking out from behind a wall easdropping on their lives.

I throughly enjoyed what I heard and I have no doubt that you will too.
