The female narrator is making my anxiety fly through the roof. I love Harlan Coben books, and I’m curious how the story ends but I just don’t know if I can do it. It’s distracting! What’s weird is her quoted lines sound normal. It’s bizarre. Im sure it’s a great book but I can’t listen to her much longer.

it was informative, and showed every side of prisoners. the jewish women. the poles, the Russians, the English, the French and on and on. most only give you one view but this provided all.

although I have a great interest in the topic, the narrator is too awful to listen a moment longer. he is extremely robotic, its distracting. I my get the actual book and read it, but I can't listen to him. it's bad.

I read a lot of mixed reviews on this book before I read it. a lot of people found the author to be full of himself and pompous. I did not get this. I found it interesting and enlightening. so interesting to see how police and detectives have grown in scientific and behavioral analysis through the years.

I did learn quite a bit, but a lot of things I had heard before. it is a look into the blame of fellow countrymen not of the nazis, which some people dont realize happened. I felt like there could be more into why the citizens turned so fast and how it was so easy to flip on the jews. I walked away from the book somewhat unsatisfied with the nagging in my brain as to how and why this can happen.

as all holocaust survivor books, it is very sad but also very inspiring. so much pain and loss, mixed with survival and determination. very good read.

I learned a lot, was full of good information. I read some people thought it was too much about Hitler himself but I found that part very interesting. paints a very clear picture of the medicated mind frame of germany as a whole during the 30s and 40s.
