I was so surprised when I began this audio epic. It has totally exceeded my expectations. I think the cover does it a disservice- it looks cheap and throw away. This tome deserves a better cover! The information is inspiring, educational and utterly engaging from beginning to end, if motivational people and their stories rock your boat. The narration was perfect; as an Aussie I find some American accents a bit too full-on/distracting (because our accents aren't annoying, much! haha) but the readers here (Sean, Richard, Jack) - credit to you, beautifully read. I have so many authors and classic books on my 'to read' list now because of this audio book- and surprisingly many whom I never thought I'd have the slightest interest in. A wonderfully researched and put together collection. Nice job Tom Butler-Bowden. Thanks. PS- give that cover some love! ;)

Disappointing

Love your work Mike Dooley but the narration in this was too much, too overdone, to enthusiastic to really engage with and I felt the stories/anecdotes were too simplistic- a bit like a children's book. I've loved your other work but I did not finish this one. Tone down the hype so we can hear your message more clearly.

I purchased this book to help motivate me back into a fitness/ weight loss regime. It was so good to have all these peoples stories keeping me company as I aimed to do the same thing they were talking about.
Lots of variety in the stories and I never got bored listening. I only listened while I was walking, I saved it for that purpose only. 5.5 kgs down by the end of the book and starting to jog :))

This audiobook was fantastic. I listened to it walking, driving, cleaning the house and while putting on my make-up. It's that good :)
It's also the best narration I've come across in an audiobook. Beautifully read, a great story line and wonderful characters.
I'm sad to finish this. I wish there were a part two.

Story
Fifteen years after his number one New York Times best seller, Ageless Body, Timeless Mind, Deepak Chopra revisits "the forgotten miracle" – the body's infinite capacity for change and renewal. You cannot take advantage of this miracle, Chopra says, unless you are willing to completely reinvent your body, transforming it from a material object to a dynamic, flowing process. "Your physical body is a fiction," Chopra contends. Every cell is made up of two invisible ingredients: awareness and energy.

Deepak Chopra could read a menu out loud and have me engrossed. This book was really good, a perfect blend of science and spirituality. I plan on listening a couple more times as there were many concepts worth hearing again. I have found that books like this often reveal more info/insights the second time around, perhaps because there is so much to take in. Enjoy this book, you wont be disappointed :)

Really well made and well put together. Sound is excellent and narrator is good if you don't mind a rather posh sounding english woman guiding you ;D
Only negative for me is after doing meditations a few times the intro starts to get a bit drawn out, I think it's too long and found myself skipping forward a little. Otherwise really good :)

Here for the first time is a complete history of the world, from the beginning of time to the present day, based on the beliefs and writings of the secret societies. From the esoteric account of the evolution of the species to the occult roots of science, from the secrets of the Flood to the esoteric motives behind American foreign policy, here is a narrative history that shows the basic facts of human existence on this planet can be viewed from a very different angle.

I loved this audiobook and listened to it in the car on a couple of trips I made. I found it to be engaging, well written and very well read. Worth another listen as there are so many concepts and so much history covered that it's hard to absorb it all in one listen.
I, unlike the review below, did not find the frequent use of the word 'esoteric' bothersome at all!
Enjoy :)

I loved this story. Steve Martin has a wonderful quirky imagination and his stories and characters are fresh and engaging. Im really glad he read the story because I find his voice quite soothing to listen to, not over-the-top, which suits his style of writing as well. An easy enjoyable listen.
