Story
Reluctant lawyer Andy Carpenter is at the Tara Foundation’s annual Christmas party. The dog rescue organization has always been his true calling, and this is one holiday tradition he can get behind because every dog that’s come through the rescue—and their families—are invited to celebrate. This year’s party is no exception. But before the stockings can be hung by the chimney with care, homicide detectives ruin the evening. Derek Moore, one of the foundation’s best foster volunteers, is arrested for murder.

This series is a great listen! Narrator has the characters down perfectly. The humor is just right and the crime solving always with a good twist.

Too neurotic for me

The main character drove me nuts. I could not finish it. And for some reason I thought this was a cozy mystery. My fault.

Predictable
Reviewed: 03-25-17
I guess I bought this on a daily special. But I assumed I was getting a mystery. It was really more of a romance novel. Just not my thing. No real suspense, nothing really thrilling. You should have the ending figured out by the time you're a quarter way through the book.

Story
It was supposed to be a vacation - and a chance to get to know one another better. But when a massive storm sets in without warning, four kids are shipwrecked alone on a rocky, jungle island in the middle of the South Pacific. No adults. No instructions. Nobody to rely on but themselves. Can they make it home alive? A week ago, the biggest challenge Vanessa, Buzz, Carter, and Jane had was learning to live as a new, blended family. Now the four siblings must find a way to work together if they're going to make it off the island. But first they've got to learn to survive one another.

This shouldn't be a series!
Reviewed: 07-17-16
Would you try another book from Jeff Probst and Chris Tebbetts and/or Charles Carroll?
Maybe, but only if the price is right. This is the first book in a series of 3, but it's less than 3 hours of listening! The three books should be combined into one, at least for the price.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jane. She has the most sense of any of them.
What does Charles Carroll bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Not sure.
Could you see Stranded being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Maybe a movie if it includes all 3 books in the series. There isn't enough material for a TV series.
Any additional comments?
Lower the price of the next two books. They shouldn't cost as much as a book with 8 or more hours of listening! All three books just barely add up to that.

Story
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.
