In the not-too-distant future, a 21-member crew launches from Earth. Their mission: to establish a temporary colony on Mars. Little do they know that colony will become permanent–and the last stand of the human race. Because, without warning, every single person left on Earth simply...vanishes. Now, a thousand years later, the resources needed to sustain life are running out, and the very existence of the Mars colony is threatened. Humankind has only one option–to return to its home planet.

crappy sound recording

horribly produced
Reviewed: 08-10-24
seems like an interesting story but I had to turn it off halfway through. The production is horrible. The entire thing sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom. and when they actually do get to a bathroom in the story, it's even worse.
might have been worth finishing if it wasn't recorded by an amateur.

Story
Pete Townshend is one of the great figures in rock ‘n’ roll history. For almost 60 years, The Who have balanced the physical and the spiritual with introspective lyrics and inspirational music. But there is a part of Townshend’s story—and The Who’s—that has not been examined. These are his Words + Music. In the Audible Original Pete Townshend: Somebody Saved Me, the songwriter takes us through the period between the 1978 death of Who drummer Keith Moon and the 2002 loss of bassist John Entwistle.

Pete at his most honest and true
Reviewed: 05-09-22
What a fantastic surprise and amazing look into my favorite Pete era - the late 70s early 80s years today may have been overshadowed by what The Who had done so far… but had a raw and incredibly musical statement that no one has ever touched.
Narrated by a Pete who has never sounded more at peace with being Pete Townsend.

This book has no idea what it wants to be and ends up being nothing.
I’m stopping a quarter of the way through since we’ve been told nothing about the space plane but have to listen instead to descriptions of every room anyone enters or listen to the protagonist whine because the girl doesn’t love him.
Yeesh

If you loved Ready Player One... do yourself a favor and skip this boring, woke sequel which reads like bad fan fiction.
And if you’re a straight white make - run! Before you learn how horrible you are for being straight, white and male.
What a disappointment.

I am not one to go easy on a book so please believe me when I write that this book was in my mind perfect.
The story was original, every character unique, realistic and relatable, the plot cohesive, well placed and always interesting and fun and the narration was fantastic.
Hoping there's a sequel!

Set over the course of a flight from London to San Francisco, Liquid Rules offers listeners a fascinating tour of these formless substances, told through the language of molecules, droplets, heartbeats, and ocean waves.
