Story
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Not what I expected
Reviewed: 01-18-23
I was struggling to find a way to leave the review after debating on whether to leave one or not.
I was hoping it would be a neat fantasy novel and the premise was promising in the summary. Unfortunately the writer forgot some basics on property story telling. The worst being there is zero struggle, crisis or anything for the protagonist to overcome.
Everything goes their way from the start.
Lost in a new, unknown world, naked with monsters and a weird floating "interface" only that can see (think the new Jumanji movies) but hey they walk through like it's everyday to them. No shock, no fear. People love them even though they act like a self righteous ass going on rants about social inequity they see, even to people one would assume should take offense and offer some conflict to the story. Need money, food, shelter, friends, powers to fight big monsters (even the ability to fight, they just seem to have that without an explanation as to how).... all just are there with no worries.
The only thing that got me through the story was the narrator. they did a good job so thank you for that. (Thinking back to the only audible book I couldn't get through, Ringworld book 3 from the horrible voices that reader did.)
This wasn't up my alley but if you want to immerse yourself in an interesting fantasy world and doubt mind not having much story this will be up your alley. I hope the other books are too your liking as well but I don't think I'll be going any further with this series.

Pronunciation
Reviewed: 02-28-22
Nice collection of short stories. No continuing narrative. Don't really leave reviews but only thing that stuck with me after all the stories was Ice Tea's pronunciation of sword. he accentuated the 'W' in the word.
To attempt to write this sound down it was 'se-ward', not 'sord' as one would expect. Took me out of the story.
other than that it was nice to hear different voices for each story.

Continues the story
Reviewed: 10-21-21
Continues the story well but only leaving a review to mention as I read in other reviews that the editing is botched. Nothing super serious but clipped words, missing parts of the first word in a sentence, stuff like that. Don't know what was going on in editing but your can still enjoy the story, it's not that big of a problem overall.
