Story
In this poetic and inspiring memoir, one of America’s most revered actresses uses the imagery of flowers and the art of Ikebana to depict the unique creative bond that she has had with her mother throughout the years - and how, together, they are facing her mother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

I am disappointed.

I knew Marcia Gay Harden's mother in the Southlake, Texas Garden Club years ago. I was thrilled to listen to this precious story. I only met her daughter, Marcia Gay, one time through the years. It is a precious story, but by the 47th time Marcia uses God's name in vain, it ruins the innocence of the tribute. It's painful every time she shouts it out in reference to her father's strength. What a waste of what could have been an amazing tribute to a wonderful soul of a mother.
