An amazing book, albeit a sad story

Probably one of the best books I ever listened to. A remarkable narration leads us through the history of the reintroduction of the wolves in Yellowstone, with O-Six an extraordinary alpha female that truly embodies the magnificence of these amazing creatures, and the terrible hurdles facing them, as they face human ignorance, stupidity and wanton disregard for wildlife.

It's a tragic and sad story, but one so well told that my admiration for such beautiful creatures as the wolves has increased greatly. The ending was emotional, even if predictable and the sense of loss is still present. Cannot recommend this book enough.

Sounds like a Salender story, but doesn't really add anything relevant to the series. In a way it's even a bit predictable. Bit disappointing overall.

For anyone interested in the US Civil War, this is a must listen book. The story is rich with analysis and detail land written in a most entertaining and enthralling manner.

The book may seem long, but I felt I wanted more when I reached the very last word. The narration is superb as well.

The paper books are usually mentioned as one of the mandatory books for those interested in the Civil War. I can only say that it is easy to understand why and the audio version is made more interesting by the quality of the narration. A highly recommended audiobook.

The book is a great listen. The narration gets better as the story proceeds and the story is really good, being even moving at some points. The book is rather thorough - it was quite interesting to know what happened to each of the characters not only after the war but even many years later.

Still a very interesting book, especially for anyone who has listened to the previous books in the series. Not as good as some of the previous books, but keeps on telling the story of saxons and their viking enemies through the remarkable character of Uhtred, in a narrative that is always well built and enthralling.

This is an excellent book. A good overview of the Algerian war, well written, with a superb narration, that makes listening to it a very good and entertaining experience. The book does not limit itself to a narration of the most relevant aspects of the Algerian war, but it also provides a sensible analysis of such events, its causes and consequences and the relevant actors.
I bought this book after having listened to another of Alistair Horne's audiobooks, also narrated by James Adams. I can only recommend both. These books are history at its best, coupled with a narration that makes the book all the more interesting.

The book is very interesting and well narrated. I enjoyed it a lot. It covers the history of the vikings in a easy to listen way, without delving into too much detail, but providing enough information to put in the influence of the Vikings into good perspective.

I enjoyed Joe Barret's narration as well. It's lively and ads to the enjoyable story,

I couldn't finish it. It is so detailed it gets boring and the narrative was dull. I think the subject allowed for a far more entertaining book.
