Story
We have a glut of text and trade books on American history. But what we don’t have is a compact, inexpensive, and authoritative book that will offer to American citizens a clear, informative, and inspiring narrative account of their own country. Such an account can shape and deepen their sense of the land they inhabit and, by making them understand that land’s roots, and share in its memories, equip them for the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship in American society.

A masterpiece of didactic history
Reviewed: 04-21-21
Mr. McClay presents an educational and objective narrative of the history of America, highlighting its beginnings, and the good, the bad and the ugly of its people and their leaders. History repeats itself if we don't learn from it. So this should be required study for every HS student and refresher reading for every adult citizen.
We need to know our past to understand our present and plan our future.

15 minutes meditation repeating itself
Reviewed: 10-18-20
The guided meditation is good, but it's only 15 minutes long. It repeats itself over and over throughout the 7 "chapters " . So dishonest and misleading. Not worth the price or the credit.

While I enjoyed the animal psychology aspect of it, it just goes on and on and on. Finally, I gave up and stopped listening.
