A true classic of Mexican Narrative

Critique of the narrator

The book is a classic. No need to attempt to critique it. The guy who read, however, should have bothered to consult with a French and English tutor or accent coach. His attempts at reading the myriad French passages were sad at best, truly incomprehensible at worst. Reading Fuentes often requires a level of polyglotism that this narrator lacked and this definitely impacted understanding the thoughts of certain characters and exchanges.
