All Things Aside is a punchy, honest, incisive book that shares a view of the world through the eyes of the inimitable Iliza Shlesinger. From the macro to micro, Shlesinger tackles it all with her no-bullshit comedic style. Throughout the book, Shlesinger dives from one subject into the next, making her hilarious asides the basis of her stories, much like she does in her stand-up comedy. Topics range from dissecting social expectations to the notion that products marketed specifically to women are scams, and all manner of things in between.

If you don't relate to most women in the entertainment industry -speaking directly to women in this instance- this is a good read/listen. I do, however, invite all humans to enjoy this book:)
Listening to this book is enjoyable. It is just like talking to a friend who speaks about things that they care about, think about, and have gone through... and yes there are many comical moments when I either spit my drink out, or laughed out loud - too loud ( I usually do audiobooks in my ear while working). This author is one of the kinds of human beings that I tend to gravitate towards because of their genuine relatability. I look forward to the next-whether it be a book or comedy special 🤙🏼 .... p. s... no rush ❤️

I wasn't quite sure what I was getting myself into when I started the book. Very pleased with each chapter for it's individual teachings/ lessons, and the special parts that hit my soul. I laughed, cried, and got goosebumps. SO
worth it.

Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.
