Everything about this from the story itself. How Kennedy Ryan wrote the characters overcoming loss grief, and finding not only oneself but each other again and the narrators performance of the stories with absolute perfection. I can’t put into words other than that how amazing this book was and the jobs both narrators did bringing the story to life.

First things first I absolutely love the audio performance that these narrators did. If you look at the listing of the audiobook, you’ll find that there are multiple narrators listed. When they go into the interview portions of the books, each individual person they are interviewing is a different narrator, and I found that too enhance my experience of the book drastically.
Now, when I was reading the first part of book because I was doing an immersive experience. I started off with just my copy of the physical book itself. It wasn’t until I got about four chapters in that I grabbed the audiobook as well. I still found the story intrigue I like it, but until I got to a certain point is when I really started thinking that this was gonna be one of my favorite books of the year. And we’re only in January! I felt like this book took me on a roller coaster. I’m so glad that I really started picking up more literary fiction more last year because if I hadn’t, this is not something I would’ve likely picked up.

This is a little bit different from the other Jillian West books I have written. Usually they are lighter and this one is definitely more gritty. Lyric has had a tragic loss in her life. With that and having been left from people she trusted she is more guarded. She finds a boyfriend in “Saint” and really cares about him. But then she runs.
I love Jillian West’s writting. I know that if I pick up anything by here it will be a highly rated read. I love all her omegaverse books and only have 2 more left that I haven’t read which they will all be read by tomorrow!
I was lucky enough to experience this one by Audiobook. I really enjoyed the narrators and reading along with them while I was able to. The narrators were easy to listen to and were easily understood even at higher rates of speed. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to have Jillian turn more of her books into audiobooks!
