The Naked Communist has sold almost two million copies. It found its way into the libraries of the CIA, the FBI, the White House, and homes all across America and the world. The Naked Communist contains a distillation of more than a hundred books and treatises on communism, many written by Marxist authors. We see the communist the way he sees himself - stripped of propaganda and pretense. Explained here is the amazing appeal of communism, its history, and its basic and unchanging concepts.

What did you love best about The Naked Communist?
This book exposes Communism/socialism for what it really is, and gives the reader all of the information so they can determine if they can support this cause or stand and fight it. Communism/socialism is alive and well today. Just look at our own government. Bernie Sanders for example. He says he is a socialist.
Nobody talks about the dark oppressive evil that it really is. So this is refreshing that Cleon calls a wolf a wolf. This was the best part.
What other book might you compare The Naked Communist to and why?
This book is in a class by its own. I can't think of a book that I can compare it with.
What about Mark Deakins’s performance did you like?
Mark did an excellent job of orating.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
I was amazed that Carl Marx even though he ruined his life and his family still pushed his cause of communism and succeeded even though he shouldn't have.

Where does Bassam and the Seven Secret Scrolls rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was easily in the top ten audio books that I have listened too.
What other book might you compare Bassam and the Seven Secret Scrolls to and why?
It is really hard to compare a book like this to another book. I have never read or listened to a book like this.
What about Mark Deakins’s performance did you like?
Mr. Deakins is fabulous. He seemed to draw the listener into the story. It was really hard to stop. He used inflection and tone quite a bit in the book, but the best part was that he could change his voice and accent between the characters That was really amazing.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed at the awkward show of love between Bassam and Rasha as the caravan was getting ready to leave and the teasing of the riders that Bassam had to deal with.
Any additional comments?
This is a good example of a book that actually has something to teach a person that will carry on longer than just reading the book. The book was long but I never felt like it was a burden, in fact I had a hard time stopping.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Any additional comments?
This book was an easy one sitting listen. because of how the narrator did his job and because the book was short. It is a perfect holiday season read.
