the main character. Hecter is a bully.
taking candies and money from other kids is his job. One day, he got a trolly from a homeless man and push it into the lake. that cause the homeless man lost everything he has. Somehow he felt sorry and started mending things, finally became a hero who solve the mystery.
i like the story overall, but the book drew the bullying part too lightly, i felt uncomfortable. school bully is a serious thing, but Hecter got off too easily.

Born a generation apart and with very different ideas about love and family, Mariam and Laila are two women brought jarringly together by war, by loss, and by fate. As they endure the ever escalating dangers around them, in their home as well as in the streets of Kabul, they come to form a bond that makes them both sisters and mother-daughter to each other, and that will ultimately alter the course not just of their own lives but of the next generation.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.
