Philip Russell, a US Park Ranger for a small island in the Pacific Northwest, has stumbled across a dead body in the forest. Unsure if the dead woman is a local or someone from the mainland, the new female sheriff has come to Rockfish Island to find out if the community has anything still to fear. I've no alibi for not picking up this book sooner!

Author JC Fuller has weaved a world full of realistic characters, all of whom I kept rooting for. There were plenty of twists, too, and the narrator did an awesome job breathing life into the story. Well done!

Video game sales as a whole have continued to grow, now raking in twice as much money per year as the entire film industry, and countless psychologists have turned their attention to the effects gaming has on us: our confidence, our identity, and our personal growth. The Psychology of Zelda applies the latest psychological findings, plus insights from classic psychology theory, to Link, Zelda, Hyrule, and the players who choose to wield the Master Sword.

True insight into a game I love
Reviewed: 03-12-22
This is the first nonfiction audio book I've ever listened to before. The narrator delivers the material with crisp articulation, leaving me to solely focus on the contents of the book itself. This book got me back onto playing Breath of the Wild with renewed vigor, and I'm seeing the game with new tinted glasses. Good job to both the author and narrator.

Story
For over 30 years, Dominion of Blades has been the hottest online role-playing game in the world. But the game is too real for some, and after an epidemic of real-life fatalities, public use of the immersion technology has been banned. Jonah wakes to find himself in-game, level one, with no memory of how he arrived and no way to eject. With only two companions, trapped in a world that once hosted millions, Jonah must battle his way across a treacherous landscape, fighting virtual monsters, all too real pain, and a very human enemy.

Wonderful Introduction to Cherubim of the Ultima

This initial installment to Cherubim of the Ultima passes the test for what I'm looking for in an audio book. Author Barr delivers another pleasing tale, which Narrator Sprenger delivers in a powerful performance. Kudos to the talent in each of these men.
