Story
No matter how hard I tried to push her away, fate thrust us together again. Screw relationships. My motto: Hit it and quit it. Simple worked. Feelings weren't on the line, hearts weren't able to be broken, and I could keep my life simple. My friends told me to move on and find "the one", but I wasn't ready to love again. Until I met her. A dirty-mouthed temptress with a killer body that had me questioning everything. I knew I could ruin her forever, but not without losing myself.

Still on the fence

So book 2 has me just as disappointed as book 1. I don't know if I want to keep wasting my credits to finish the series.
I can honestly say that Ms. Bliss has let me down with this series.
I LOVED the Gallos so much and have been looking forward to all the family stories, but this series is just not doing it for for me.
I had started to read the Men of Inked Heatwaves first before I realized that this was an entire family saga. So I stopped and started with Men of Inked. Then Southside; which I also loved. But this series has just been hard to swallow, plus the narrators don't have that passion. And the characters? Don't get me started on Georgia and Frisco.
Wish me luck in

Someone was after her and it was my duty to stop them. Never cross the line. That had always been my rule. But that was before Race True. The moment I saw her, I wanted her. But there was a problem. She wasn't just another pretty face - no, she was my first client at ALFA PI. My take-what-I-want attitude shouldn't include her, but how the hell can I be expected to keep my hands off?

I have been following the Gallos for a while now. I loved the entire first series (with the exception of Anthony’s story). I have to say I was disappointed. It didn’t have the thrill I felt with the Men of Inked southside story. And the narrators just didn’t do it for me. I don’t know what it was, but Race voice was extremely annoying making the sex scenes sound like a horrible porn. I am looking forward to reading book 2 and hope to get the “exciting” feeling I got when I read Izzy’s and her brothers story. Not giving up on Chelle just yet. I’ve come too far to stop now. But please don’t use these narrators again. At least not the woman. She just tried to hard with that southern accent.

LOVING THE SERIES
Reviewed: 07-18-24
I am really loving this series. Crystal Daniels, Sandy Alvarez are great authors, however I would of loved to had Stephanie Rose and Aiden Snow narrating this story. The only thing I hated, and yes I used the word hate was the fact that Aiden worked way too hard to work the Spanish accent and they keep repeating the same Spanish term over and over in both Spanish and English. After two times, I don't think that they needed to say "carino" and then "sweetheart". Am pretty sure the readers would have already gotten the idea that "Carino" meant sweetheart.
With that said, I am extremely happy that the translation was word to word correctly.
But again, I favor Stephanie Rose and Aiden Snow as narrators.

I have purchased 9 books from this author and LOVED them all. But this one? Ugh. The story line is so flat and Mark Westfield as a narrator. Mmm no. Greg Boudreaux is sooooo much better at story telling. His voice just brings you in. You can actually picture the scenes as he speak. Mark is just monotone. Like he is just “reading” there is no passion, no excitement. And the story line is just plain boring

To say that I have been disappointed in the last 3 books, it a lot.
When I first started to read these books I could not put them down.
I.T Lucas became my favorite author, and then when I found them on audible I felt like I died and gone to heaven.
I literally listen to one book a day.
But these last 3 books are just a drag.
The story are just ............ ugh.....I don't even really have words for it.
I couldn't stand Jade, or Sophia or Kaia, and she wasn't even Kra-ell.
But I am way too invested, spent too much money on this series to stop now. I just hope it gets better. Bring back the DOOMERS, Carol, Logan, Jackson and Val.....PLEASE

Again, I can not express enough how much I have loved the Children of the Gods series, but I also can't emphasis enough how disappointed I have been with the last 3 books.
I can understand that William is a "Techie" but his story and those of Kaia and her family. It really rubs me the wrong way on how entitle they feel. As they are more important making demands while they just got there.
And again the Narrator just makes it even more difficult to swallow with his monotone voice. There is no passion.
And the start of the Krael story is sounding boring.

I have LOVED all of the Children of the Gods so far, but I will admit that This was not one of my favorite.
I have wanted William to find a mate for the longest time, but Kaiya is just so bossy and honestly I do not like her character at all or that of her family.
And I wish that Charles Lawrence was more animated.

The story line was great. Fernando has become one of my favorite authors. However it took a lot for me to complete this particular book. In her other books the narrator were great. Here…. Let’s just say that if you love the author and her MC series just push through it. I would of given a 5 star overall if it wasn’t for the narrator’s monotone voice.

I love these books and hate to see it coming to an end. And that is why I gave it a 4 star. Fernando is an awesome author and I absolutely love her. However I wish this last story line had a bit more to it. And that Eva Christensen had been the narrator. Stephanie Rose was flat. There were so many times I wanted to stop listening but I really wanted to know how the story ended. That is my main complaint.
