Story
In this must-have for anyone who wants to better understand their love life, a mathematician pulls back the curtain and reveals the hidden patterns—from dating sites to divorce, sex to marriage—behind the rituals of love. The roller coaster of romance is hard to quantify; defining how lovers might feel from a set of simple equations is impossible. But that doesn’t mean that mathematics isn’t a crucial tool for understanding love. Love, like most things in life, is full of patterns. And mathematics is ultimately the study of patterns—from predicting the weather to the fluctuations of the stock market, the movement of planets or the growth of cities. These patterns twist and turn and warp and evolve just as the rituals of love do.

Well done but I won't listen again

I liked her voice, tone, linguistic qualities... Yet found portions of the writing not adding up.... There's an over all heterosexual tone, even a comment about not ruining your favorite Disney characters imagining them sleeping with one another (boy on boy maybe or girl on girl or possibly 3-sums). I could go on here but what's important to me is the writer often suggested or rather maybe assumed a certain kind of morality (?) or sexual choice (?) being 'normal'.... Lots of people aren't that 'simple' so for me that stuff was distracting from the point of the book.... I was excited to read/listen to it but it fell short for me so my search will continue...

The story is gripping, I liked the historical tones and the ending leaves room for a series... Love this guys work... Love his pod casts... If you like suspense and 'scary' content... Get it. ⭐️
