Disappointing
Reviewed: 12-21-22
I’ve read Ken Follett books for 50 years but was disappointed in this one. It stretches the story line for too long and the narration does not grab me. I had to switch to audio in 2008 so I am also a long time listener.

Story
At first glance, Josh Hanagarne seems an improbable librarian. He stands 6'7", competes in strongman contests, and was diagnosed in high school with Tourette's syndrome. But books are his first love - Josh's earliest memories involve fantastic adventures between the pages of Gulliver’s Travels and a passionate infatuation with Fern from Charlotte’s Web. Everything in Josh’s life - from his Mormon upbringing, to finally finding love, to learning to control his tics through lifting - circles back to a close connection with books.

I listen to many books and recommend this one for content, writing . And narration. It illicits humor, sympathy and wonder at how Josh manages his world. Best wishes to him and his family.

Not worth it
Reviewed: 05-16-21
I stuck it out and listened to it all. It is too long. And I knew 1/3 of the way through who did it. The narrator did not make me care about the characters. They all seemed artificial.

I have read several of these and I love Davina Porter BUT this was just not that interesting. I listen to books all the time and various genres. This is just too long for the plot. I lost interest but determined to finish it and did.

Story
A high-profile attorney in the middle of a leave of absence following a personal tragedy is drawn back into the legal arena amidst a media firestorm when he agrees to represent a popular rap artist accused of brutally murdering his pop star girlfriend. With its powerful voice, pause-resisting tension, and strong cast of characters, Adam Mitzner’s novels are reminiscent of such best-selling authors as Scott Turow and John Grisham.

waste of time and money
Reviewed: 07-09-13
Would you try another book from Adam Mitzner and/or Kevin T. Collins?
No, this book had an excess of legal explanation which most of us already know and I could not empathize with the characters. I just didn't care what happened.
Has A Case of Redemption turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, I like this genre.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
His reading was over the top. Over acted.
Any additional comments?
I should have returned the book. A "1" may be harsh but this is the first time I have felt so strongly that I am writing a review.

This book was great. I was sorry when it was over. I generally read non-fiction and love to learn about previously unknown (to me) women from the past. This book moved swiftly and brought to life a part of the WWII resistance in France. A woman in a man's world who was greatly respected by them.
