Story
Jamie Foxx has won an Academy Award and a Grammy Award, laughed with sitting presidents, and partied with the biggest names in hip-hop. In Act Like You Got Some Sense, Jamie shares up close and personal stories about the tough love and old-school values he learned growing up in the small town of Terrell, Texas; his early days trying to make it in Hollywood; the joys and challenges of achieving stardom; and how each phase of his life shaped his parenting journey. Hilarious, poignant, and always brutally honest, this is Jamie Foxx like we’ve never seen him before.

Great Story

I loved this book especially with Jamie Fox narrating himself. I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed as much if I just read it. His jokes and his ad kind in in his voice made it really entertaining. And I really appreciated his honesty as a father co-parenting two girls. Good job Jamie!

Harmony used to love love. She loved the idea of being in love. As a result, Valentine’s Day was her favorite holiday...was. Now, she hated the very thought of it. Jakobi and Wesleigh are my favorite narrators but I could not get into this book. The author spent wayyy too much time on every single details; so many adjectives that I forget what's going on at the time...Not sure if I'll try book 2.

I'm hooked on Jakobi's and Adenrele's narrations. They really bring the characters to life. I think I like Nolan's story the best but you have to listen to all of them to decide for yourself. Either way, the McClain Series is off the hook!

If there were ever a man who prided himself on always being up front with women, it's tatted bad boy, Crayson Madden, in the flesh. His world may revolve around sex and cigars, but there's a lot more to this cigar lounge owner than what meets the eye. Too bad Jordyn Jameson spends more time arguing with him, than seeing beyond his asshole-ish ways. Now, they are forced together whether she likes it or not and the more Crayson pushes her buttons, the more he likes what he sees behind the confident siren.

I loved this book and can't decide if I liked this one or the first one best. They were both off the hook. I hope the author will continue the series with the rest of the brothers. And, of course, Jakobi did his thing! I think I'm hooked on his voice alone..LOL He and Mari really brings the characters to life. It'll be hard to listen to other books without his voice...
