What if you could get higher returns for lower risk? Would you take it? The stock market is great for growing your capital over the long term, but it isn't the only game in town. Many, many millionaires have been made with smart investments in real estate, private businesses, and other alterative investments. This book is about showing you how to take advantage of each of these opportunities, which can supplement or replace stock market investing and make you rich.

Pretty Good Strategies
Reviewed: 08-26-18
Good strategies in this book all around. A lot of stuff that I haven't necessarily thought of around business, investments, real estate, etc. It's only like 45 minutes long but I would recommend since it's less than 5 bucks.

Story
I wrote High Finance: The Secrets Wall Street Doesn't Want You to Know in late 2016. Since then, I have helped thousands of people turn the tables on Wall Street, not only in the United States and Canada, but also in 17 other countries. The main theme of my book is that Wall Street beats retail investors through a series of small edges, like commissions, fees, bid/ask spreads and margin interest, much like the house edge at the casino or sportsbook.

As Good as Michael Lewis

High Finance is like if a young Michael Lewis wrote about how to invest in stocks. Best value for the money of any finance book and actually easy to understand. Better than Cramer, better than Rich Dad, and better than Graham. Best finance book around.

Story
America is a stressed-out place. Paycheck to paycheck lifestyles, deadlines, bills, and keeping up with the Joneses all contribute to make us the most stressed out society in history. A lot of people can't help but feel a hole in their lives that has to be filled by something. To fill this hole, people tend to take one of two paths - either burying themselves in alcohol, drugs, and fast food, or the other path of harmful dieting, punishing exercise routines, and workaholism. Both of these paths represent extremes, and happiness is found in the middle.

There is a lot of good spiritual wisdom in this book. I immensely enjoyed listening and learned a ton. Pleasantly narrated too.

Story
Is it possible to beat the market? Naysayers will say that the stock market is fully efficient and that you can't beat the market. They usually are just bad at investing and think everyone else is too. You can beat the market, and you can beat it handily. Wall Street pros have been doing it under the radar for decades with simple, easy-to-understand investment strategies. Don't listen to people who can't make money in the stock market and never will.
