Story
Understanding Roswell is the first book that dives deeply into the backgrounds of the witnesses, examines the evidence with a dispassionate eye, and tells the story in a comprehensive fashion. While it seems that everyone agrees that something fell to the northwest of Roswell, New Mexico in July, 1947, it is the interpretation of that fall that was open for debate. Looking at the evidence provided by the United States Air Force, along with the information uncovered by civilian UFO researchers, all the terrestrial explanations have failed.

Poorly written, and even more poorly read.

I bought the kindle version, too, because the reader kept mispronouncing words and names. There are typos & misspellings. It as though this is a first draft of what could be an excellent resource.

Let down in the end
Reviewed: 06-19-09
I was looking forward to a satisfying ending, even if it wasn't a happy one. This ending left too many loose ends, and really wasn't an ending at all. It just stopped, it seems to me, because the author had written himself into a corner and couldn't get out without writing at least a fourth book. I don't think that will happen, as this one had an "epilogue", but really didn't sew things up at all. Why did his editors let him get away with this?
