Story
From Minneapolis to Louisville, to Portland, Kenosha, and Washington, DC, America’s reckoning with its unmet promises on race and class is at a boiling point not seen since the 1960s. While conversations around pathways to progress take place on social media and cable TV, history tells us that meaningful change only comes with radical legislation and boots-on-the-ground activism. Here, Mallory shares her unique personal experience building coalitions, speaking truth to power, and winning over hearts and minds in the struggle for shared prosperity and safety.

Real. Unapologetic. Inspiring. Truth.

Tamika did not hold anything back in describing the current systemic racial and political climate of the USA in 2021. She breaks things down and calls out ALL people who claim they are not racist to examine their ACTIONS and do more.
Her message - words are not enough. Inaction is not enough. Fighting in just one way or on just one issue is not enough.
Action has to be holistic, consistent, and yes even inconvenient and uncomfortable at times to see change occur and be maintained and respected in an antiquated system that powers our society.
Not as someone who is “not racist”, but as someone who is anti-racist. Who actively fights back against the societal system that was founded, built, and has always supported inequality, classism, and racism at its core.
Question is, are you willing to do what it takes, in whatever ways, big or small, to play a part in sustaining change as an anti-racist? Or are you willing to let the convenience of your privilege keep you complicit in maintaining the status quo?

Story
After eight books, many of them best sellers, A Game Plan for Life is the one closest to John Woodens heart: a moving and inspirational guide to the power of mentorship. The first half focuses on the people who helped foster the values that carried Wooden through an incredibly successful and famously principled career, including his college coach, his wife, Abraham Lincoln, and Mother Teresa.

A full scope of mentorship

Great book for how to utilize mentors and how to ultimately be one. Does a wonderful job of showing that teaching someone doesn't just come from within a classroom. And that the impact people leave on one another can be some of the most powerful relationships in someone's life
