Story
One afternoon in November 1975, ten-year-old Miranda Larkin comes home from school to find her house eerily quiet. Her mother is missing. Nothing else is out of place. There is no sign of struggle. Her mom’s pocketbook remains in the front hall, in its usual spot. So begins a mystery that will span a lifetime. What happened to Jane Larkin? Investigators suspect Jane’s husband. A criminal defense attorney, Dan Larkin would surely be an expert in outfoxing the police.

Great story

I thought the story was very good especially since it was based on true events but thought the narration was poor. it's highly unlikely that a doctor from that period would have a cockney accent.

What We're Here For
Reviewed: 10-14-10
This beautifully written historical story of early twentieth century China has inspiration for us here and now. It's the story of how love, faith, and service to God, can give meaning to individual lives. This book illustrates what we're all searching for and how a few people found it.
