Story
Everyone is dying to read the latest book in the popular Gap Lake mystery series, and Addison is no exception. As the novel's biggest fan, she's thrilled when the infamously reclusive author, R. J. Rosen, contacts her, giving her inside information others would kill for. Addison's always dreamed of what it would be like if the books were real. But then she finds the most popular girl in school dead. Murdered. And realizes that life imitating fiction is more dangerous than she could have imagined.

Nothing really wrong with this book. It was a great plot line. It interested me because of the plot line being about a Fan Fic writer being stalked by her favorite writer. Interesting. Not scary, but definitely intriguing. Worth the READ...

Perfect Sequel

I loved both books, Silence and Broken Silence. There was nothing I can say I truly disliked about the books. The only thing that was a bit hard to follow were the occasional stops that seemed to run on. Not a break in chapters, but more a break in between. For instance, the characters go to bed and wake up the next morning and they are already driving. Took a bit to realize “Ok, that’s a break.”
Other than that, I loved both books. As I read on a review of another site, I must thank Natasha for giving a voice to all the child abuse survivors in a clean, concise manner, without making it brash (maybe the wrong word?). It really helps to have the feelings from the victim’s point of view laid out. To know someone captured the blame victims put on themselves, as well as the horrible dirty feelings we have in the afterward, really helped with the healing process.
My abuse happened eons ago, but I still remember. That said, though I’ve overcome my own, my daughter has not fully — although, she has overcome it immensely. Which is why I cannot recommend this book to my typical reading partners. My daughter is not ready. My other group is still working through things and I won’t be the one to force any rehashing of bad feelings on them, even if they don’t have abuse in their past. But I will say if anyone asks me directly, I’d give this a “YOU MUST READ IT” 5 Stars. It helped me.
