Story
Passionate, earthy, deeply affecting, The Red Tent combines rich storytelling with a valuable contribution to modern fiction: a vibrant new perspective of female life in the age that shaped present day civilization and values.
If you like The Red Tent, try The Harlot by the Side of the Road, a recounting of some of the most startling and explicit writings from The Old Testament.

A racy rendition of Jacob's only daughter
Reviewed: 10-16-20
There are only a few verses in the Bible about Dinah but Anita Diamant has taken artistic license and created a story to listen to. I have listened to The Red Tent three or four times, something I rarely do (reread/relisten).
Carol Bilger is outstanding as an audio performer.
Worth the credit!

Present tense writing but the story has me hooked… The narration is a bit better than the previous narrator but it is difficult to differentiate between characters – even the male and female leads.
This is my first Terry Blackstock book/trilogy, I don't think I will continue with her – but I want to know how the story ends.
NOTE: This is a trilogy, not a standalone.

Story
Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore. But what is the truth? That’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.

Sweet but repetitive romance
Reviewed: 06-24-20
This is a short and sweet romance. The author reminded us time and again that Kitty had lost her best friend and love interest when he got married MANY, many times.
Cecelia Bax' narration is solid.
Overall this story gets 3.5 stars. I liked it a lot in the narration was very good.

This is not a story per se…
Reviewed: 06-23-20
I anticipated reading about the circumstances that led to the death of seven infants at the hands of their mother. However, this book is just a recitation of headlines from Utah's most notorious crimes. The publishers summary is quite misleading as there is no depth, discovery or storytelling involved. Very disappointing.
The narration by Kevin Pierce was professional and he did well given the material he had to work with.
Overall: very disappointing
performance: above average
story: does not apply
My take: while the description was intriguing, it was misleading. This type of book is not for me and I will avoid the others in this collection in the future.

Forever with Me was about 2 needy narcissists. Each scene more pathetic than the next. -predictable. The narration was great though.
