exceeded all expectations. Funny, great characters, not too long. Almost like a chess match worth constant checkmates. True proper romance. What not to like?

Story
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Don't be scared away! highly relatable bot ☺️

I was worried that this would be too grotesque given the whole murderbot thing but I think this isn't much different (from a violence perspective) than a typical Marvel movie.
Overall I'm very impressed that this two hour book has me so invested in this bot and how relatable he is. I really don't want to spoil anything but It's a great book

a little corny in places, but still good
Reviewed: 10-06-21
pretty solid sorry and world building. however I felt like some of the characters or a bit corny such as the main character always being bad at metaphors and constantly talking about it. or Megan being a stereotypical hard to get adventure movie girl.
