Story
When he was first torn from his Earthly home, Victor Sandoval was as good as dead, alone and powerless in a reality where kills equal skills and losing a fight means losing your life. But he's much more than who he used to be. Now a warrior of near-legendary status and strength, Victor is leading his very own army into the Untamed Marches, where countless hordes of horrors await. This means more Energy and treasure for him and his allies when they go up against a slew of undead, reavers, and good old-fashioned bloody vampires.

Stellar as per Usual !
Reviewed: 10-13-24
I have listened to and read hundreds of books and dozens of series and this incredible kick ass work is probably my favorite LitRPG / Fantasy series ever, it's close up there with the Hobbit & LOTR Series. From the MC progression to the supporting characters and their development, the storyline and the BBEG's and enemies, this is a universe that deserves at the least your listen/read if not it's own show or video game! 110% worth the credit if not the outright money, I know I'm singing it's praises left and right but it sincerely deserves all the kiss assery and then some. Can't want for the next in this series!

My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin. Betraying them at the last moment, just when their glorious victory was on hand. I have been found again by the newest member of a quartet of dungeon crawlers. Poor fool. This time will be no different. Or does it have to be? Maybe I don't need to spend eternity left in a deep, dark dungeon waiting to devour would-be heroes. Maybe, just maybe, I can take him over and use this new identity to leave and masquerade as an adventurer myself.

I genuinely deeply and thoroughly enjoyed this work, I'm sad that this hasn't gotten a second part yet or at the least has yet to be released, I hope beyond hope that the creator chooses to continue this unique and enthralling series!

I'm rarely genuinely sad and or disappointed to see/ hear the end of a series especially lengthy ones that tend ti drag on or flop especially towards the end, im both grateful and amazed to be able to say since I started the first book of the series I obsessively binged the entire series in a very short time and I'm sad this is seemingly the final installment, this series had everything I'd wanted and more to a fantasy type of action world story, this is truly a work of kickassery art, as a very cool Orc Scout would likely say, this will leave you inspired, wanting more, possibly crying, definitely laughing and hooked, and without a doubt leave you wanting a cheeseburger and or tacos.

Honestly wasn't expecting a ton just saw it was a fairly long series and it piqued my interest with the sci-fi elements mixed into a post apocalyptic world and the knights and so on, suffice to say this is hands down one of the best action and sci-fi series I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I truly can't wait and hope beyond hope that the story continues with Count Eric of House AudAxe & more.

I'll start this by saying I've used Audible and tend to lean towards sci-fi action and post apocalyptic series, that being said, this series is by far and away the best series I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing through Audible, big statement yeah, but listen to it, as weird and all over the place the Strange Company is, it is truly one of the most Human series I've ever heard /read , maybe aside from my personal favorite book ever "Swans Song" by Robert R. McCammon, I'm a Veteran and maybe that matters for my opinion on the book or not, but I think it's more than that, this series goes past the hoorah hoorah camaraderie stuff and gets into the people themselves and their back stories and why they are the way they are, and you'll find yourself, like I did, rewinding certain parts to listen to them again just to be sure you heard something so thought-provoking and deeply philosophical from the same series that has a character that solely lives to blowed s*** up real good, and it hits you that these hard-core, random ass, galaxy moving Mercs, are people. Listen to the series and try it. Not ashamed to say, this series made me laugh, and cry.

Having survived what felt like an impossible journey, Maddy Whitmore and Bryce Carter discover that there is no time to rest. Not only is New York still slated for nuclear annihilation, they are hounded by demons more horrible than anything they’ve yet encountered. Virtual armies of undead, using a “collective mind”, lay siege to the Federal Building, and the two are forced to their new and astounding limits just to survive. Yes, they’ve grown stronger and faster, but so have their opponents who will do anything to destroy them.

I loved every bit of both book 1 and book 2, I'm pretty bummed there isn't a book 3 and so on already out or in pre-order, but this series thus far has been awesome, the morality and emotions conveyed throughout keep you engaged the entire time, alongside a ton of Zombie and "Demon" killing action as well, characters are interesting and grow, I'm extremely excited to see the next in this series if and when it comes! also, if you're hungry, this book will likely entice you to eat a sandwich ( extra mayo )

Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

So, premis, I'm former military, yes I've been down range for those of you who are petty enough to care, anyway, I'm fairly experienced in real world crappy situations and messed up locations, also a pretty well rounded prepper or so I'd like to think, but this work shows the most important lesson to remember, NEVER STOP LEARNING, knowledge and broadening our minds to things bigger than ourselves whether it be our loved ones or the whole damn Multi-Verse, you're born, you're naive, you live, you suffer, you grow, you make yourself bigger, better, and more fuxking hard-core than ever. Character growth is great, story kicks ass, as realistic as it can be considering the story and all that, super solid piece of work, I highly recommend it, but not for the faint of heart or weak stomach-ed folks out there, also someee of the religion and scientific stuff could bother you if you let it, but screw off, enjoy it or find something else that will, enjoy y'all !

Story
It’s been a year since the events in Niagara Falls. Things have generally gotten better in the wasteland and civilization is starting to take hold along the rivers. No one knows where the Librarian is, or if he’s alive, but there’s a man and a mastiff running passengers from Hannibal to Cairo that might have an idea as to what really happened. Life is starting to return to normal along the river if you don’t count the pirates and the sea monsters. But all of that is about to change and the end of the world may never be the same again.
