Story
Introverts find external stimulation overwhelming, so they look for ways to retreat from it. A situation that’s easy or fun for one person can be way too much for an introvert. That's fine, as long as they have a choice. But that can change when they go to work. Modern working styles like open-plan offices, brainstorming, and teamwork can be really hard on introverts. The hands-on work is okay, but the emotional labor of working with others can be draining.

I found this a very useful book that has given me a better understanding of why I made the career choices that I've made. I listened to the book and found the narration well produced and professionally delivered. If one of the reasons you've chosen the life of a freelancer is because you a more of an introvert than an extrovert, this is the book for you.
