By way of full disclosure, I should say that I went to the same high school, and attended the same local church, as this author, though as of this writing I haven’t seen him in about forty years, so I don’t know how much that affected this review. What I will say is that his drive to achieve whatever goal he set for himself is nothing short of inspirational. This determination has taken him far. We can all learn something from his experience.

The author has some great insights about how social media and other platforms have had a polarizing impact on society, and how implementing the “Ruby Rule” could help us learn to understand and get along with those who think differently. This is an idea whose time has come.

Story
A major, best-selling novelist and former magazine editor, long married to a handsome and successful stockbroker with whom she has a beautiful daughter and son, Benilde Little once had every reason to feel on top of the world. But as illness, the aging of her parents, and other hurdles interrupted her seemingly perfect life, she took a tailspin into a pit of clinical depression. I probably could not have found this book at a better time. Between loss of my father, a relative taking POA over my parents estate and dementia claiming my mother, this author spelled out everything that I had been feeling and they were able to articulate it in words I could not find. I would suggest this book to anyone who has feelings of discontent, depression and feelings of inadequacy. This story will lift your spirits and give you hope that there is a way out despite all the messy situations life throws at you, Sincerely your really are not alone.
