Good background noise

It was interesting, but not for me. History buffs or those who have also watched Vinland Saga will enjoy this, but I found myself tuning out for most of the book. It sure got me through half a day of work as background noise though!

A great start to a classic series
Reviewed: 11-22-22
Rob Inglis does a fantastic job narrating and singing this intro to the greatest fantasy series ever written! I also liked the history at the end explaining some of the history of the books release fr Tolkien himself. Recording quality may not sound up modern expectations, but this is without a doubt the best audiobook version of these books!

A fantastic telling of this classic story!

I remember listening to this audiobook once when I was younger and being enthralled with Rob Inglis' performance. After finishing this again, I still am! The Hobbit is a great story that started one of the most famous fantasy series of all time, and I loved every moment listening to this on my way to and from work. Highly recommend this reading, and don't forget to watch the movie trilogy as well!

A great listen for fans of Minecraft

I was enthralled with this performance! Learned about this book through a Tumblr post, and after learning it was narrated by Jack Black of all people, I knew I HAD to listen to the audiobook. I was very impressed! Jack Black put on a great performance and kept me entertained the whole time as I listened to this as I drove to and from work. The story was fantastic as well. As someone who has been playing Minecraft since the beta, it was a very interesting experience hearing about a first time experience from the perspective of someone who has never played before. So much so that I started a new server with my friends and we are all replaying it again after 3 years since our last server. I even learned a couple new recipes and facts that I had never previously discovered in my own playthroughs! I know this book was meant for kids, but as a late-twenties adult i feel i got a lot of value out of it. I highly recommend any and all fans of Minecraft listen to this audiobook!
