Sadly lacking
Reviewed: 08-31-24
As someone who owns all of the rangers apprentice books, I have enjoyed all of the books. Sadly, this story seems to fall a little short than what I expected. It seems to contain more than a few pages that are nothing but filler. Well, I do enjoy the storylines and the method of writing this one just seemed to drag. And made me jump ahead in the story from time to time, just so I could move on to something that doesn't seem to just go go on and on, for no reason.

Story
Some call me Shaman Bond, but I was born Eddie Drood: the latest in a long line of folks who chase monsters out of closets for a living to keep humanity safe from all that is dark, demonic, and just downright evil. Needless to say we've made our fair share of enemies over the centuries - and made some questionable bargains.

Story
Call me Drood, Eddie Drood. Some know me as Shaman Bond and most simply don' t want to know me at all. For centuries, my family has been keeping the things that lurk on the darker side of existence as far away as possible from humans like you, without you even knowing we' re there. Unfortunately for us, not everybody appreciates what we Droods do. Recently, I personally managed to survive yet another attempt on my life, but the rest of my relatives weren' t so lucky.

book of filler and let downs
Reviewed: 05-27-24
this story of Edwin Drood was a big let down. it seems as if all the parts of the story were bloated. Not that it helped, all the parts just didn't seem to fit together. They seem to go in different directions. all and all it just fell flat.
