It's the dog's fault, really. If this untrained Great Dane I'm walking had any manners at all, I never would've ended up here: With my leash wrapped around the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. Lucky for me, the guy is a good sport about it. (Although his joke that “Dogs take after their owners” hits a little too close to home when Rufus starts humping his leg.) He leaves me with his business card and a smile that makes my knees weak.

Great Bratva book, and the synopsis clearly stated the story would finish in Book 2. Unexpected cliffhangers are the worst, but I was forewarned and was ready to purchase the second book as soon as I finished. This makes all the difference in my purchasing dollars spent towards an author, so thank you Penny Dee for earning my trust and my disposable income! And the spice was worthy of any good Bratva story!

This was an excellent ending to the series, very well written, and with all the ends nicely tied up. That being said, the over-the-top affection Matvey gives Alina was a bit much; even the great spice became redundant, something I thought I’d never hear myself say. :)

Cliffhanger Ruined Book!

This would have been a 5 star plus book if was not an unexpected cliffhanger. I will put Nicole Fox at the bottom of my authors’ list. Knowing ahead of time and preplanning the expense of purchases is one thing, but not knowing it’s only half a book going in, well, that just sucks.

I never go back on my word, so we're married whether she likes it or not. At least for the moment. The plan was for me to stay married until we got what we needed from her brothers. As long as I don't touch her, we can annul this unfortunate blip on my bachelor timeline. The problem is she looks sweet, and she smells sweet, and then I risk everything and take a taste.

Great book until the end, when it kind of sails straight ahead with no ups, no downs, no drama - just heading towards Elena’s rescue, which is apparently the entire final book. I have no issue with Elena‘s rescue being the full book, but this fourth book could have had a little more substance towards the end.

I disagree with the commenter who said there was too much spice. There was spice and drama and humor, but little angst - just the right mix of everything! Piper Rayne is a new author to me, but this definitely won’t be the last of her audiobooks I’ll buy!

This was not what I was expecting, but it was a really good book anyway. I prefer a spicy buildup but this started with an already married couple, so I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. The unusual trope on this one made it worth the read.

Two scenes with forced submission were disquieting for me, and belt spanking as punishment to a loved one is not my thing. Loved the spice, but I think I’ll forgo the rest of this author’s works.
