Story
Kuroe Makoto, now known as Chaos to demons and Chloe Marcott to humans, never thought that in a fantasy world filled with sword and sorcery, she would attend school again. Her fake human heart beats faster when she thinks of the fact that this is a magic school, the kind she has read about in so many stories. The prospect of learning spells and meeting new and interesting people has her unexpectedly looking forward to sitting in a classroom again. However, with every new adventure comes new dangers, new friends, and new enemies.

"chaos" is not a tricky word

4 stars if they wouldn't pronounce "chaos" like "kah' ōs"
I get that they're going for how they think a Japanese person would pronounce it but it's annoying and inconsistent as they pronounced it correctly in the phrase "Cradle of Chaos"

Story
Infinite Worlds is the most popular VRMMORPG on the market. Its maps are so vast, developer Hard Rock Data utilizes a network of highly advanced artificial intelligences to control it. But it’s not without problems. That’s why Game Masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism. His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating.

Good Premise, Terrible Execution
Reviewed: 04-25-22
The authors understand absolutely nothing about code and yet decided to make that the most important and frequently discussed element of their story.
I forced myself to finish and I will not be getting the sequel because I would rather be left without an ending than sit through another book like that.
Nick Podehl is great but he could not save this book.

Someone owes me a new keyboard

Insults the young, the left, foreigners, etc...

Choc full of outdated stereotypes, digs against: nerds, feminists, college students, Asians, Obama, "liberals", and everything someone maybe 45+ would hate. (curse you Twitter!)
Many of the references are already dated (Chuck Norris) and the rest will be in less than 5 to 10 years. Highly, doubt it will age well.
Could have been good, lighthearted, action-comedy but instead it's at least 40% rant.

Grotesque

His vocabulary is smaller than expected. He doesn't use a lot of words, just unusual ones over and over. Seriously, count the number of times he says "grotesque", "demoniac", etc...

I was hoping for a reading of the original, got an abridged radio play that was significantly inferior. Oh well.
