Another good m/m romance from Yamila Abraham. While I'm more into her fantasy-themed romances, this one was certainly decent and probably is more relevant to real-life. Nevertheless, fans of her work should give this one a try.

"Zolabarth Bi" is a steamy sci-fi tale involving the questionably moral--and delightfully egotistical--soldier Maximus and his mission to destroy an army once responsible for fitting him with a mind-control device. To aid him in his quest for revenge, a god-like being loans him a blood-thirsty, foul-mouthed, and sexy male alien called a "Rig-mertian" to decimate his enemies. What follows is the stuff twisted romance is made of, and boy, is it a fun ride!

The production values alone make this a worthwhile purchase, with talented voice-work and sound effects to make the story come alive. The characters are wicked fun (LOVE Maximus' arrogance and Zolabarth's crassness), and sex is titillating (though the soundtrack choice for the intimate parts felt a tad cheesy).

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. I recommend it!

"Hyde's Dungeon" is a short male-male romance centered around Alphonse, the kind-hearted son of a ruthless dictator of an apparently Spanish-speaking nation. Alphonse is intrigued by the swarthy Hyde, his father's, er, "enforcer," who tortures men in interesting ways in his dungeon.

The story moves along at a quick pace, which is something I prefer in stories such as these: I'm far more interested in how the characters deal with their relationships rather than the tedious steps they took to get into them. Alphonse is young and wants to be his father's successor, but he's not sure how to win his father's approval. Then there's Hyde, whose attraction to Alphonse isn't just mutual, but provides a way to educate Alphonse on what's expected of him as a future dictator (as well a way to savor Alphonse's kinky side).

The sex is a bit different from what you'd expect from a yaoi story featuring BDSM elements, but it's no less titillating. Overall, the narrator did a fine job: I thought he had a few uneven pauses in his delivery, but the accents he used for Alphonse and Hyde's voices were quite well done and sexy. I pretty much felt Hyde existed in a constant state of arousal, judging from the way he sounded. Rawrr!

A brief but solid tale of love between men. I definitely recommend!

"The Demon and the Emperor" is a fantastic male/male romance between a beautiful young Emperor, Dianese, and his delightfully virile demon suitor, Rodukjo, the "Master of 10,000 Armies." The story is riveting, the characters fascinating, and the love scenes beautifully passionate as well as explicit.

Ms. Abraham did a superb job crafting a romance between a mortal sovereign and a powerful demon. The chemistry between these two men was a delight to behold, and the story came to a satisfying conclusion. In particular, I enjoyed the explicit love scenes: Despite the naughty antics, I felt they truly were _love scenes_, and not just a hot seme and his uke having sex. I kept rooting for Dianese and Rodukjo the entire time, and that's the sort of pairing I appreciate in stories like this, yaoi or otherwise.
The author obviously held great regard for these characters, and it showed.

The narration was beyond awesome! The narrator consistently gave strong performances for the main characters as well as the supporting cast. I had chills when he read the more racy scenes. Truly this gentleman deserves all sorts of props for his work.

In short, if you love male/male romance and are a fan of Yamila Abraham, you should check out this audiobook. I honestly doubt you'd be disappointed.
