Story
The acclaimed biography of the early church's greatest evangelist, the Apostle Paul. Master storyteller John Pollock makes Paul and his amazing story freshly alive, so that you can know the greatest apostle much as Luke and Timothy did as they traveled with him. As you listen, you'll sense Paul's motives, his aims and priorities; what mattered to him; and what he was willing to die for.

A story for the ages
Reviewed: 05-20-22
Pollock's thorough research into the lands and customs of the people who inhabited the regions St. Paul visited and his thoughtful narrative talents make this a compelling history as well as a rich source of spiritual contemplation. The narrator makes this book one I listen to on a regular basis for inspiration. Well worth the investment.

Story
Ever since he became a Christian at the age of 40, it has been Poirot actor David Suchet's dream to make an audio recording of the Bible. In between filming the final episodes of Poirot, David Suchet spent over 200 hours in the recording studio to create the very first full-length audio version of the NIV Bible spoken by a single British actor. This New Testament edition is excerpted from that Bible.

Insightful reading of a sublime subject
Reviewed: 02-11-19
David Suchet's reading shows his appreciation and understanding of the message of the Holy Gospel. His skills as an actor are so evident in the way he allows the apostles words speak to the listener through him. In some readings the narrators smother the text by overacting. In this narration, there is no such barrier between the listener and the Word. Mr. Suchet's rendering can be listened to again and again, making it wonderful for contemplation.

Clear and easy to understand discussion of the topic

Dr. Kreeft' is very easy to listen to. His pacing and tone are conversational, making it easy to absorb the concepts he is trying to convey. He explains the material in a way that is easy to follow and understand even the most difficult concepts. It is not hyperbole to say that after listening for just a few minutes I feel smarter. Dr. Kreeft is a really talented lecturer and speaker.

Very effective course for learning a language that is difficult to pronounce well. Also, effective in helping a student to understand how the language works in an intuitive rather than rote manner.
