Story
In the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election, Donald Trump and many around him, including certain other elected Republican officials, intentionally breached their oath to the Constitution: they ignored the rulings of dozens of courts, plotted to overturn a lawful election, and provoked a violent attack on our Capitol.

“WE THE PEOPLE………..”
Reviewed: 02-18-24
Excellent description of what took place following the 2020 elections. Donald Trump has done more damage to our Republic and “WE THE PEOPLE” must make sure he is never elected to any government position. Ever. Shouldn’t members of the House of Representatives and Senate that voted against certifying the Electoral College also be prosecuted? “WE THE PEOPLE” must stand together and do what is necessary to make sure our DEMOCRACY is never put at risk again. Is CIVICS still being taught in our schools? Each morning we saluted our Grand Old Flag and maybe now, “WE THE PEOPLE” should pledge to follow our Constitution. Liz Cheney for President of the United States in 2028.

Story
So many board members - especially of small nonprofits - want to support a nonprofit and readily accept the invitation to join the board. It's only then that they discover they are in over their heads, with no idea of their expectations and responsibilities. The Little Book of Boards is here to throw that drowning board member a rope.

A listen for every big or small board member
Reviewed: 04-23-19
Anyone considering starting a non-profit organization should read this book and give it to every potential Board member. If the Board is hiring an Executive Officer they should read it too. An Executive Officer has two jobs; 1. Running the day-to-day operation of the non-profit and 2. knowing how to work with a Board of Directors. Not easy, but it can be done if the Board and the Executive Officer work together as one, with common goals.
