Story
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Narration isn’t nearly as bad as reviews say

The reviews about the narrator almost made me buy this book on paper instead of audio but I’m glad I ignored them. Good story, narrator is fine.

Episode by episode they'll discuss how each short was created, what the response to it was at the time, and what impact, if any, it still has today. Aided by Seth, the guys will relive their time at SNL and reminisce on the nearly 50-year-old show from a time when putting short comedy sketches on the internet was so...

Kate Blackwell is the symbol of success—a beautiful woman who parlayed her inheritance into an international conglomerate. Winner of a unique position among the wealthy and world-renowned, she is also a survivor as indomitable as her father, who returned from the edge of death to wrench a fortune in diamonds from the hard South African soil. As she celebrates her ninetieth birthday, Kate surveys the family she has manipulated, dominated, and loved over the decades and asks herself: Is she the master of the game?

Great book, average narrator

Narrator was pretty monotone, mispronounced some words, and there were pauses which I think sounded like pages turning.

Slenderman, you know him. He’s the creepy tall dude lurking in the woods without a face. He was created in 2009 on Something Awful by a man named Eric Knudesen and has dominated the internet ever since. In 2014 two Wisconsin girls pledged their allegiance to Slenderman by stabbing their best friend 19 times and leaving her for dead in the middle of the woods. They thought they would be off to live in his mansion in the forest, but that wasn’t exactly the end of it all. Thank you to our Patreon supporters for picking this week's episodes!!! We love you!! Henry Bins is only awake one hour a day. Can you imagine only being awake for one hour each day? Can you imagine having to cram your entire existence into sixty measly minutes? Two minutes to shower. Three minutes to eat. Five minutes to watch TV. And in that 3600 seconds you have awake, imagine that you have to figure out...Who murdered the woman across the street?

I love all things Harry Potter so I had high expectations. I thought that the narrator was fantastic...all voices came to life. This couldn't have been easy for Jim Dale to do. It's not perfect (how could it be?), but listening to the books is like discovering them all over again.
