This narrator has caused me to send one book back so decided to soldier on with this one. He is horrid! Female characters are a joke! I’ll not listen to another book w him as narrator.

Story
East Antarctica: the coldest, most desolate location on earth. Two-and-a-half miles below the ice cap is Vostok, a 6,000 square mile liquid lake, over 1,000 feet deep, left untouched for more than 15 million years. Now, marine biologist Zachary Wallace and two other scientists aboard a submersible tethered to a laser will journey 13,000 feet beneath the ice into this unexplored realm to discover Mesozoic life-forms long believed extinct - and an object of immense power responsible for the evolution of modern man.

It seems like there were two separate stories combined as one. First half I liked; second half I did not.

The Patient - Narration

What disappointed you about The Patient?
I've listened to several of Michael Palmer's books and greatly enjoyed them all but the narration on The Patient is really off-putting for me. Mr. Kramer's inflection is just wrong most of the time and is very choppy.
