My mom’s last gift came with two surprises: an unexpected inheritance from the father I never knew, and one unforgettable summer in Aspen Lake. Her only request? Complete the bucket list she left for me. Simple enough—until I saw that one item written in bold: HAVE A SUMMER FLING.

I loved Brooke and Logan together from the hilarious and unforgettable meet-cute through the bucket list and beyond, and whether they were just friends or a summer fling or something more, I loved the way they supported and protected each other while also giving the other the space they needed to heal. So many unexpected surprises and oh my word, THAT KISS!! I can't even with all the summer swoon.
Pick this book up for the swoony starlit summer romcom, stay for the small town setting, the beautiful friendships, the healing and forgiveness, the laugh out loud moments and the ones that will make you cry, and a romance with so much heart and depth that you will fall in love with the genre all over again.

the extra epilogue!!
I adored the first book in this series and was sooo excited to pick up this next book! Christy was not my favorite character in the first book so I wasn’t sure how the author was going to redeem her, but honestly, it was a non-issue because I fell in love with her by the second chapter. She is definitely not who I thought she was!
There was SO much chemistry between Christy and Holden and I loved, loved, loved the scene where the fake dating starts. So hilarious and swoony!
The stalker element of the story added in extra tension and a bit of suspense because that woman is legit psycho. But nothing too traumatic and love will always be worth fighting for!!
The Duprees are quickly becoming one of my favorite literary families - if you want to know why, just read the epilogue. I had literal tears I was laughing SO HARD! Cannot wait for Anna and Blue’s story next!!
So happy I discovered this author's books this year. If you are looking for a fun romance with lots of swoon, flawed but lovable characters, and a family you wish you could adopt, you need to check out this series!

Story
Ever since I first read Pride and Prejudice at twelve years old, I’ve dreamed of being Elizabeth Bennet. That dream is now about to come true. I, Monroe Wilde, the woman some could argue isn’t exactly Elizabeth Bennet material, have been chosen to play the beloved heroine for one week at Pride and Prejudice Park, a destination experience for Jane Austen devotees. To make this dream even more amazing and surreal, my best friend, the Duke of Blackthorne, Alastair Fitzroy, has volunteered to play my Mr. Darcy.

AHHH!!! Be still my heart because there is another Darcy in town who has most definitely gained my good opinion!! Jane Austen fans and lovers of romance everywhere are in very great danger of falling in love with Alistair Fitzroy and this adorably swoony romance that had me reaching for my smelling salts.
Fitz and Monroe are soooo perfect together! Monroe's quirkiness contrasted so well with Fitz's stoic behavior. Once they allowed the sparks between them to catch, it quickly turned into a bonfire! So much tension and chemistry and oh my, the way Fitz adored her!! (insert all the melty emojis here) Loved the unique and fresh take on a classic and the crazy plot twist that made my Pride and Prejudice loving heart sooo happy. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life and oh my, that accent!!!!
So much charm and heart and warmth in this unforgettable romance. It was a combination of two of my favorite worlds and I loved every minute of it! Undoubtedly a new favorite that I will be re-reading for years to come. Go read this and fall in love with Darcy and Elizabeth all over again along with new favorite characters.

Impossible to put down!
Tehran has vowed to protect his people through the oaths he has sworn that have gifted him with great power. But when their land is invaded by earthbound creatures, he knows he must seek help from the rest of his order.
When his best friend's widow insists on accompanying him, things become even more complicated and Tehran may be forced to choose between the oaths he has sworn and the people he loves.
What you'll love:
a mix of sci-fi and fantasy
magic system based on oaths
multiple pov
loyal friendships
fast paced action
complicated love triangle
loss and sacrifice
plot twists and turns
Whoa, this audiobook completely drew me in! From the first chapter, I was intrigued by the detailed world building, the political structure and the oath/magic system, and the characters that are flawed and yet so lovable. Tehran, Emilia and Knox all faced challenges and heartbreaking, impossible choices and I am completely invested in their story!
I can't explain the romance without spoiling anything but I enjoyed how it was not a side plot but also didn't completely overwhelm the rest of the story. You may want to grab a few tissues before you read this one - it was both heart melting and heart breaking! I was on the edge of my seat with all the plot twists and heart pounding suspense and loved the balance and pacing between all of the different moving pieces of the story.
This may be a fantasy with giant monsters in the earth but it also has so much heart and depth! At it's core, this is a story about friendship and sacrifice, love and loyalty, and the power of our words.
I highly recommend this audiobook; the narrator was amazing! This is the first book in a duology (read: there will be cliffhangers) and the second one is set to release fall of 2025 and I plan on being first in line to read it!!

Story
Three years ago, I fell truly, madly, deeply in love. It was kind of hard not to when Cash Denton, the sexiest man alive, literally ran into me on the streets of Bordeaux, France, and kissed me. Best. Meet. Cute. Ever. That led to the best two months of my life. Or . . . so I thought, until Cash disappeared into thin air. At first, I assumed he was in a coma or had amnesia after a tragic accident, since there’s no way he would have left me. But that was just wishful thinking because, you guessed it, he ghosted me with a capital G.

The high-stakes adventure and the downright swoony second chance romance were so perfectly blended together and made the pages practically turn themselves. I could not get enough of Cash and Sabrina together and oh my, the chemistry between them was more of a roaring bonfire than mere sparks!
Loved all the heartwarming scenes between Cash and Sabrina's family - they are the side characters I didn't know I needed! There were some Hallmark worthy scenes that just about melted my heart.
The combination of danger and intrigue with sizzling kisses is my new favorite thing, and I hope this is the first of many stories we get from Jennifer Peel in this genre. All I want to do is start back at the beginning and listen to it over and over again!

When my best friend passes away, her twin brother finally comes home. Regardless of how Silas keeps pinning me with those eyes, or how I can’t breathe whenever he smiles, I won’t forgive how he amputated me from his life a decade ago. If I can make it through the will reading, I’ll never see him again. I’m certain of that. But when the will is read, I can’t believe my ears. Sophie left her daughter for me to raise. Story
A woman does her very best to avoid at least one of the following people in her life: an annoying coworker, her brother’s best friend, and her first kiss. Unfortunately, for me, all three happen to be the same person—Brandon Cassidy. I’ve done my best to avoid the man, even if it means working in the ladies’ room whenever he visits the main office. Sadly, my days of hiding are coming to an end because I’ve been assigned to assist Brandon through the end of the year. The holiday season is already hard for me, but this . . . this is just the icing on the fruitcake that is my life.

All the Christmas stars for this holiday romance!
Reviewed: 10-10-24
There are only a few things Holly doesn't like: Christmas traditions that remind her of what she has lost, and Brandon, her brother's best friend who ghosted her years ago after the best kiss of her life. And now she has to suffer through both when she is assigned as Brandon's partner at work and the office holds daily challenges aimed at spreading Christmas cheer.
There are only a few things that Brandon truly regrets and ghosting Holly is near the top of the list. He has never forgotten her, or their kiss, and his biggest Christmas wish is for her to give him another chance...or at least not hate him so much. His plan? Bring back the hate notes, a secret tradition from their teenage years that will hopefully rekindle the spark between them.
What you'll love:
Second chance at first love
Brother’s best friend
enemies to lovers vibe
Dual POV
forced proximity
THE NOTES
holiday challenges
Brandon's wingman
slow burn
soooo much chemistry
grieving and healing
kisses that are worth the wait!!!
cutest bonus chapter and epilogue
AHH, this book is so incredibly sweet! It captures all the magic of Christmas and all the emotions of a second chance at love. There was so much tension and chemistry between Brandon and Holly, even in the flashback to high school, and I loved watching their romance rekindle! And sigh, is there anything swoonier than man who falls first and is willing to do whatever it takes to win back the love of his life? I think not!
I really loved that even with the lightheartedness of the hate notes and the fun holiday challenges, there was a lot of depth to this story. Brandon and Holly are connected by shared grief and I loved the way they helped each other work through it and begin to find healing and peace. It added a depth and dimension to the story and their characters but never made the book feel too heavy.
Narrators did a fantastic job and this is the perfect story to read this holiday season - just don't forget a cup of cocoa and a cozy blanket because once you start listening, you won't want to stop!

Story
A word of advice? Never fall in love with an Englishman in New York. If you do, chances are that he’ll captivate your soul and never let you go. Take me, for instance. For the last thirteen years, I’ve heard “So This Is Love” on repeat every time I think of Simon Harrison. If this is love, it kind of sucks. Especially given that Simon only ever saw me as his friend before proceeding to marry my supposed best friend.

Unforgettable in every way!!
Jules has never gotten over Simon. It's been thirteen years and she doesn't know what is worse - that she still carries a torch for him despite him marrying her friend Penelope, or that when she sees him for the first time in years, the man doesn't even remember her name.
Simon knows he made a mistake in marrying Penelope. But now that he is divorced and runs into his once best friend Jules, he realizes he messed up worse than he thought by letting her get away all those years ago. He is entranced and wants nothing more than to explore the chemistry between them, but Jules is tired of being forgotten and refuses to trust the man who once broker her heart.
What to love:
Long lost friends
Second first chance romance
Single parent
Small-town
British MMC
Dual POV
The kisses!!!
Jule's journey of self-discovery
Character cameos
"I'm going to chase you."
The epilogue
This sweet, adorable romance came with all the happy sighs and all the feels! Simon definitely messed up in the past, but wow, what woman wouldn't want to be chased the way that Simon chases Jules? He doesn't want to leave her with any doubts about how he feels and all the sweet gestures are so sweet and romantic!
The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the story to life! And Simon's voice was PERFECT - lots of pressure doing the voice for a character who narrates audiobooks, but it was so well done and the narrator's voice is so swoony, just like Simon's!
Jules is a character with so much depth and I loved her arc. So much truth and so much self-realization. I loved her as a side character in My Ex-Mas Emergency and fell in love with her even more now. And despite being daft, Simon really was perfect for her!
Another 5 star from one of my favorite authors. You need to pick this one up - trust me!
