Just listen to Grant Cardone. It’s basically the same style and content. The performance is read so fast I had to slow it down, I usually listen at 1.5 and it was way too fast.

I had some high hopes, but the political and racial agenda are hot and heavy right from the jump. The 10 step guide is fine, but super basic. Wouldn’t recommend this at all.

Story
For decades, statisticians, social scientists, psychologists, and economists (among them Nobel Prize winners) have spent massive amounts of precious time thinking about whether streaks actually exist. After all, a substantial number of decisions that we make in our everyday lives are quietly rooted in this one question: If something happened before, will it happen again? Is there such a thing as being in the zone? Can someone have a "hot hand"? Or is it simply a case of seeing patterns in randomness? Or, if streaks are possible, where can they be found?

Pretty good, but what??
Reviewed: 02-24-21
The hot hand discussion points in this were good and interesting. But there is a lot of side stories and other fluff that don’t really reference “The Hot Hand” and it never gets tied into the rest of the story. Could have trimmed this down by 4 hours.

Do you have an old guy in your life that tells you the same stories over and over again? Robert Kiyosaki is that guy...the content is good but every book is the same. Kiyosaki is in cashgrab mode now. Stick with Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Cashflow Quadrant...everything else is just fluff and repeats.

But the politics involved in becoming a court jester are no laughing matter. The rules of becoming the top fool are simple: The winner is the one who performs the most outrageous act. Our buffoon and his fellows struggle for supremacy in a profession that is heading for extinction.

Comes across as a poorly produced lecture
Reviewed: 03-02-20
This might be good for someone that is really struggling with who they are, and stuck in a nasty rut. But this guy just goes off on you over the course of the book, not quite what I was anticipating. The reading and production quality leaves a lot to be desired as well. There needs to be another message in a book this long other than “get your life together.” And when he talks about being mature, but he drops F bombs constantly and admits he’s a smoker (zero self discipline there, sorry), he just comes across as a phony.

I’m glad I didn’t pay for this one. Got about 20 minutes in and couldn’t take it anymore. The songs he plays are just awful, or maybe I’m too young to appreciate James Taylor. Take out the music and maybe the book would be fine.

Regurgitating Rich Dad Poor Dad
Reviewed: 03-01-19
If I had never read any of Kiyosaki’s other books, this one would have been great. But, I’ve read them all, and he just keeps regurgitating the same info and stories over and over again. And to say he called the economic crisis “give or take 10 years” is ludicrous. He said 2016 in Rich Dad Prophecy and it happened in 2008?? How is that predicting anything? And probably time to unhitch your wagon from Donald Trump, my “prophecy” is that no one will want to admit they ever knew him personally come 2020.

Reviewed: 12-19-18
There really isn’t anything earth shattering or new here. The title caught my eye, the content is “Ho-hum” at best. It was also hard to listen to, the author didn’t show any emotion whatsoever, and almost seemed bored by his own book. Maybe it’s a better read than a listen.
