Story
Triple Falls wasn’t at all what it seemed, nor were the men that swept me under their wing. But in order to keep them, I had to be in on their secrets. Secrets that cost us everything to keep. That’s the novelty of fiction versus reality. You can’t re-live your own love story, because by the time you’ve realized you’re living it, it’s over. At least that was the case for me and the men I trusted my foolish heart to. Looking back, I’m convinced I willed my story into existence, due to my illness, and all were punished.

Barely a plot
Reviewed: 10-24-24
I love listening to books. This narration was great. Funny how sometimes I can’t finish a book because the narrator rubs me wrong. The book itself was a bore the plot was thinner than a piece of parchment paper and you really don’t know if there is a plot until the very end. The you have to read the next book to find out “is there”a plot. If you like reading about other people having sex, one chapter after another, you might enjoy this one but I found the sex scenes so predictable there was no erotica, thrill, suspense nothing there. Will not be reading the next in the series cause I have no interest in what happens next to any of the characters. I don’t consider myself a prude and have read some great books with awesome sex scenes but geez buy a plot when you write a book. Spoiler alert: if the main characters are together OR apart they will be having sex. Practically every other paragraph. Yea for a healthy sex life!

After losing her fiancé to a terrible accident, Miss Katherine Blackmore found contentment as a matchmaker to the members of Society. Working alongside her sisters, they strive to secure the most unlikely people with love matches. Everything is perfect until an infuriating lord steps into her office, turning her world upside down. Edward Simpson, the Marquess of Berkshire, has a problem. His sister needs to marry, and quickly. Narrator performance was not my favorite
Reviewed: 02-20-24
The story is a nicely done light read about young women coming of age in a highly structured society. It left the reader with lots of questions at the end, likely a device for the next few books. The narration was my least favorite. The reading was so fast I finally went to settings and slowed it to .7 I also found the high pitch of the voice distracting and can’t explain why. I may read the sequels to find out about the characters introduced in this book but will not use audible with this narrator.
