Great book with decent narration. Well worth it
Reviewed: 11-30-09
Excellent book, P.G. Wodehouse made my day a lot brighter with this book. Another great book about Jeeves and Wooster. The only reason I gave it four and not five stars was the narrator. While his English was impeccable - and British - I had some problems distinguishing between the different characters which reduced the quality of the book somewhat in my mind. Even so however, this book is definitely worth your money, or a credit if you wish to spend that. :-)

Great listen, good book!

The book is great. Kaku manages to captivate and inform throughout the book. It is easy to follow whether you're familiar with the topics he goes through or not. The book does, however, cover a very very wide field or series of fields to be more precise. I miss consistency in the use of units however. Kaku uses imperial units for distance coupled with metric units outside the SI-standard, such as using mm or cm as base units. This is of course a minor nuisance, but I - for one - prefer my numbers to be in strict SI-units with few exceptions.

Finally!

I have read every book in the Wheel of Time series, and recently re-read them before the upcoming book by Jordan/Sanderson. This prologue certainly is a great listen for everyone who is going to read the gathering storm. It's a great prologue and certainly brings back a lot of memories from the other books of the series. I would classify this - if not a "must" then certainly a "Should!" read/listen.

Decent, but not great.

Paranoia is an alright book. By that I mean that while it certainly can interest many readers it is not extremely well written in my opinion and failed to catch my interest. While the author seems to attempt to have his readers assume certain things through the book, he fails to conceal the true behind the scenes workings properly enough to keep an alert listener from catching on, revealing interesting tidbits all too soon.
It's a book I'd recommend if you don't have much experience reading or listening to mystery novels. Otherwise, I myself consider it's true ending too thinly veiled to recommend it.

An interesting and well written/narrated book

"God's Equation" is first and foremost a very interesting book which I believe would suit anyone who is interested in physics, mathematics and/or history. It is somewhat of a light read though so if you want something really heavy on the mathematical side this is not the book for you. While it does mention some formulae it does mention very few. The author seems to have wanted to cover more about history than mathematics and the result is a much broader suitable audience. This was my first book by Amir D. Aczel, but it will not be the last. From start to finish the book kept me interested, and at times excited.
