Story
Effy Sayre has always believed in fairy tales. Haunted by visions of the Fairy King since childhood, she’s had no choice. Her tattered copy of Angharad—Emrys Myrddin’s epic about a mortal girl who falls in love with the Fairy King, then destroys him—is the only thing keeping her afloat. So when Myrddin’s family announces a contest to redesign the late author’s estate, Effy feels certain it’s her destiny. But musty, decrepit Hiraeth Manor is an impossible task, and its residents are far from welcoming.

excellent story and narration

I was very pleased with the narrator of this story, she did a very good job! The story itself was beautifully written and somewhat haunting. One of the best books I've listened to in awhile!

Story
Scarlett McCain is a shoot-first ask-questions-later kind of outlaw. She scrapes by on bank heists, her wits - and never looking back. She’s on the run from her latest crime when she comes across Albert Browne. He is the sole survivor of a horrific accident, and against her better judgement, Scarlett agrees to guide him to safety.

Fun story with lots of character!

The story was a fun little ride with pretty well thought out characters. I enjoyed it just as I have many other stories by Jonathan Stroud. Really my only complaint, and this was for the narrator in Lockwood and Co. as well, was her voicing of Albert. I think I would have liked his character even more and felt like he had a little more brains if she hasn't made him sound like a bumbling neanderthal. Please stop doing boys voices like this, it's hard to listen to.

Story
As a massive outbreak of supernatural visitors baffles Scotland Yard and causes protests throughout London, Lockwood & Co. continue to demonstrate their effectiveness in exterminating spirits. Anthony Lockwood is dashing, George insightful, and Lucy dynamic, while the skull in the jar utters sardonic advice from the sidelines.

Great book series!

Excellently written and riveting story and plot. I loved every book in this series! The only thing that I didn't like was Emily Bevans' voice acting for every male voice in this series. It made me cringe everytime.

I loved this installment of the Lockwood and Co series! Riveting and fun! The only negative is, I really dislike how the voice actor portrays all of the male voices in the series, it is very grating and ridiculous sounding. Other than that the book was excellent!
