I love misty copeland

But this book was a bit boring. I didn’t really learn anything new. I also wish Misty had narrated. A hard copy would probably be nicer since there are a lot of exercises discussed.

Story
Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name.

Excellent book. Equally funny, sad, heartwarming, and important. This should definitely be incorporated into required reading for high school students.

Grace finally meets the man of her dreams, Jack. He is handsome and dotes lovingly on Grace and her little sister Millie. Even Grace and Jack's friends can't believe how perfect their marriage seems to be.
I was hooked by chapter one. There is a plot twist, but you can probably figure it out early on in the book. This wasn't the most complex mystery novel I'd ever read. In fact I would categorize this book as strictly a "thriller," and it truly was! It was an absolutely page turning, chilling, disturbing, emotional thriller. I think one of the best parts about this book was that it left much of the horror to your imagination. The narration was excellent. I highly recommend reading or listening!

10 strangers are summoned to a mysterious island for apparently different reasons. By the end of the novel it is clear that they are there for the same reason: to be killed one by one.
Absolutely brilliant! Although I did correctly guess the murder at the very beginning of the story, I changed my guess multiple times, and got it wrong by the end! The characters were superbly written and every piece of the puzzle is solved be the end. The narration was excellent as well. I was able to clearly distinguish all of the characters by voice alone. I loved it!

A Cozy Mystery

I didn't realize until partway through the novel that I was actually on the 3rd book of this series. It didn't detract from my enjoyment or understanding of the story at all, and I will definitely be checking out the 1st and 2nd books of the "When the Fat Ladies Sing." I love listening to books on audio, especially when I am able to find a narrator who enhances my enjoyment of the story. Michelle Babb's narration was excellent. Accurate and emotive.
It took me a couple chapters to get absorbed by the characters and the story line but by the end I was in love with Lovita and Sue Jan.
In a few words: a mystery novel with a dash of romance and lots of hilarity. I highly recommend if you are looking for something lighthearted and cozy to brighten your day.
I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
