who the heck is Nick?! why do we care about him?! I don't recall him from any of the previous stories. Also why are we in Texas? There's no mention as to why everything shifted from North Carolina to Texas. This is the worst book.

Cliff has done so much for immortal guardians and fought so hard against the evil voices. The fact that his happy ending was just to be turned back into a normal human is so disappointing. I mean Seth's dad made Leah immortal with all Seth's powers and she didn't do anything to deserve it. However, Cliff isn't even turned into a gifted one. If he ever gets bit again he would have to suffer through the virus's evil voices all over again. Also the fact that this book was like 70% of the same material from the previous books just from Cliff's perspective. Cliff couldn't even get a full book with new information. The only thing I liked is getting to know Emma more and how the author showed us the messed up things the voices would say.

Tasha's overthinking and getting mad at Dakh for not telling her about the deal with Claudia and her dragon was annoying. if she hadn't overreacted she would have never gotten kidnapped. it was all overblown and stupid. it was just a silly way to lead into the next book with Emma. this women might only be in her 20s but she's been in an apocalypse that should have matured her. she flips from survival mode to making stupid and emotional decisions. it makes no sense. also the whole I want someone to want me for me during apocalyptic times is nonsense too. it's been 7 years and her ways of thinking make no sense. how in the world did she survive all this time.

Finally a submissive wolf that wasn't salient with a dominant. The author did great in showing the strength in submissive. I loved Quinnley and Isiah and they are my new favorite couple from the Olympus pride. It's also great that it wasnt 2 threats and issues going on at the same time like in most of the stories.

Disliked Vinna in 3rd book and dislike her even more by the 4th. She has 7 mates now...7, wth?! All it boils down to is Vinna saying I trust my magic and if it picks 15 mates well then let's go with it. She goes on self righteous rants about how her mates should just trust her and her magic. it's such a cop out. She is also connected with 3 other guys as shields and friends but things that happen in the beginning of the story are nonsense. You don't let your friends sleep with you in a tent when you have all of your chosen. it doesn't matter if they win a stupid foot race. You don't get mad at your chosen when they call out the nonsense. Vinna get made at her chosen and the chosen just back down and everything is fixed by having sex. All these men are so in love and you don't really get to know them outside of how hot Vinna thinks they are and her calling her vagina greedy. You learn more about sentinels and Vinna's family history. There's still so many plot holes and things were rushed in the end. It's written as if there will be a spin off. I won't be reading it. The last 2 books in this serious annoyed me so I have no interest in reading further.

all she is doing is collecting mates. seriously 7 mates. how in the hell can you develop deep meaningful relationships with 7 full time mates. everything is so caught up in how hot the mates are and sex. the mates are only added as another way to increase her magic. also she is connected to 3 other guys as "friends" and she expects all her mates and everyone to just deal with it. she so powerful and wanted that all 10 of these men just need to get along and get over themselves.

the way the characters behave you would think they were either teenagers or barely college freshman. the female acting like she didn't know the male because he didn't kiss her back in highschool is so dumb. she did this after her and her friends planned to mess with him. the male character acting like his ego is bruised over one woman he hasn't seen in 16 years is ridiculous. Don't waste your time on this. There's no way these 2 characters are in their 30's.

Mickey is mean and rude for no reason. It's one thing to be a strong, independent woman and it's another to be insufferable. They try to make it seem like people who are highly intelligent act the way Mickey does but her friends were all intelligent and they weren't like her. It makes no sense for her to be so unpleasant.

I love the start to this new series. I was sad when I read Larkin's book and that series ended. Viper and his brothers are a great addition to this world. I have missed these type of books

it's hard to believe a woman on the run for her life is instantly attracted to an orc. the male narration sounds like he's a very old grumpy guy listing after a young woman. I've read some great stories from the author. this is not one of them. waste of a credit
