Story
In the spring of 2020, Lara’s three daughters return to the family's orchard in Northern Michigan. While picking cherries, they beg their mother to tell them the story of Peter Duke, a famous actor with whom she shared both a stage and a romance years before at a theater company called Tom Lake. As Lara recalls the past, her daughters examine their own lives and relationship with their mother, and are forced to reconsider the world and everything they thought they knew.

What a wonderful book! Two stories- one past/one present. Ms. Streep made me feel she was telling it to me personally. Truly a gem.

Story
Six years after the fight that ended their friendship, Daphne Berg is shocked when Drue Cavanaugh walks back into her life, looking as lovely and successful as ever, with a massive favor to ask. Daphne hasn’t spoken one word to Drue in all this time - she doesn’t even hate-follow her ex-best friend on social media - so when Drue asks if she will be her maid-of-honor at the society wedding of the summer, Daphne is rightfully speechless.

No idea why this is a “must” summer read. Unless you are under age 30.
The narrator is a second generation Valley Girl who cannot pronounce the letter “t”. All double t’s come out as D’s. Beyond annoying.
Story line is vacuous and while the message of a positive body image is a good thing, the main character plays the fool too long.
Do not recommend.
Gave it 4 hours. That’s it.

Story
In You Are the Key, Caitlin reveals imperfections aplenty: like the time she accidentally voice-texted a huge fight with her husband to her entire leadership team, or the terrifying day a disgruntled employee brought a gun to their office, or the time this #girlboss landed herself in the ER. For the first time, Caitlin also opens up about her own secret "flaw" that rocked her sense of self-worth for the better part of two decades, and her private battle to believe our scars are not sources of shame but proof of courage and prompts toward purpose.

I happen to know the author personally. As a close friend of her mother, I have watched this amazing young woman grow from a curly topped toddler to the inspirational human she is today. Her many talents were evident at a young age, as were some challenges held private for many years. To say she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside is not a cliche in this true story. I promise these few hours of your time will be worth every second. God Bless you Caitlin for sharing your truths , insights and positivity.
